The prefecture of Achaia is located in the northwestern part of the Peloponnese. With an area of about 3,200 sq. km, it is the third largest in population nationwide.

Capital of the prefecture of Achaia is Patras - a large commercial port, but also link from Western Greece to Italy and the rest of Europe.
